  Antique Rugs

Antique rugs are very popular among collectors; mostly in the rug department are a lot of Persian rugs. The area Persian rugs look terrific, they are beautifully colored and they match almost any décor. They are made of wool and two favorite colors in the Persian rugs are red and browns with some gold tones. They would look fabulous ant place you put them. Back in the day things were not made very cheaply as some products are today. The men and women who put together these rugs together took pride in what they did and they made products that we built to last. That is how they became antiques.

Afghan rugs were also beautifully created rugs. These rugs have beautiful stitching and they are made of wool. The colors are so very Middle Eastern; most of the rugs have one or more of these colors, beige, red, copper, dark orange and navy. They are authentic rugs that come from Afghanistan and because of their authenticity they go for around $5000.00 and higher online.

Rugs are very much apart of our antique world. Have you ever gone into a person’s home who has a massive collection of antiques from lamps, rugs, dishes, vases, painting and mirrors? They really go for the entire collection, if it is antique and in good condition then it is for them. You can find more rugs online or at your local antique dealer, make sure they have a letter of appraisal or authenticity before you purchase anything.
