  Antique Items

There are so many things that can be purchased as antiques; there will be some things we have today that in 100 years is going to be considered an antique. We have mentioned many big objects as antiques, but there are so many smaller items that we did not get to cover. The big name tickets are vases, lamps, rugs, books and dishes. But there is so much more, such as antique dolls, the porcelain dolls that little girls carried around in the 1900’s, these dolls are worth a lot of money if you can find one and in good condition.

Picture frames are also a great antique collectible; the antique frames had such unique handcrafted designs. They gave the frame character and an elegant yet classy look, those picture frames would look great toady with black and white or color photos. There are also hand blown glass items such as drinking glasses, glass bowls, vases and candy dishes. There were no glass factories way back in the day. There were official glass blowers who made glass for a living.

Antique Grandfather clocks are a big hit among collectors and among people who love this style of clock. Back in the 1900’s the construction was pristine and the workmanship was nothing that ahs ever been duplicated since its time. Back about 100 years ago, people took a great amount of pride in their work and they made products that were made to last and you know what? They did.
