  Antique Furniture

The best thing about furniture is coming across a nice piece of antique furniture. Pieces of antique furniture are usually handed down from generation to generation. Family heirlooms are the best way to get a great antique at no charge and it comes with sentimental value. Lamps are usually the first piece of antique furniture we come across. These pieces are great, they have great detail and the craftsmanship is outstanding and is likely to have never been seen before. The work that was done over 100 years ago doesn’t compare to the work done today.

Tables are the next most common piece of furniture that we come across, you may have seen them in displays or maybe in your grandparent’s house, where they probably came from their parents making the tables antiques. Some of the wood tables are handcrafted with a particular design or craving. These tables unlike some that are made today are made to last.

Other styles of antique furniture that are terrific to look at are chairs, grandfather clocks, step stools, benches, dressers, beds, sofa and bookcases. You can most likely find any of these fine pieces of furniture at your local antique store or maybe a local dealer in your area may have something you would be interested in.
